District 7 Rep. Erin Tauscher Resigns from County Board

The Door County Board is seeking applications for the District 7 representative on the board after Supervisor Erin Tauscher resigned Nov. 21. District No. 7 encompasses the City of Sturgeon Bay Wards 1 and 2. 

Those wishing to be considered for appointment to the vacant Door County Board  District No. 7 Supervisor position must submit a letter of interest to County Board  Chairperson David Lienau, c/o of the County Administrator, 421 Nebraska Street, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 or email to [email protected]. Letters of interest must be  received by Thursday 4 pm, Dec. 17, 2020. 

Following a vetting process, County Board Chairperson Lienau will nominate a person to  fill the vacant Door County Board District No. 7 Supervisor position. This nomination is  subject to confirmation by the County Board. The successful nominee will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term, which ends April 18, 2022.

Tauscher defeated incumbent supervisor Helen Bacon in the April 7 election.
