Donna Johnson Named Midsummer’s Music Festival Development & Events Director

Donna Johnson, of Baileys Harbor, was named Midsummer’s Music Festival Development & Events Director. Johnson served in various positions at The Ridges Sanctuary and she previously worked as development director for Birch Creek Music Performance Center alongside Midsummer’s current Executive Director, Russ Warren, who was then Birch Creek’s marketing director.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Russ again and to work with everyone at Midsummer’s Music. The world-class musicians, hard-working board and staff, and dedicated volunteers make for a winning combination. I am so fortunate to be part of this team and am looking forward to this new venture,” Johnson said.

Her responsibilities include donor management, cultivation, fundraising, concert sponsorship and other gifting programs, in addition to planning and coordinating concerts and special events.

Warren said, “We are very fortunate to have hired Donna, who has a great knowledge of development and event planning, along with extensive experience. She will be a great addition in targeting development opportunities and managing our growing performance schedule. I am looking forward to working with her and believe that she will be a wonderful fit.”

The 2017 concert season continues Aug. 25 with 10 concerts, culminating in a joint benefit with Door Shakespeare at Gordon Lodge on Labor Day. For more information visit midsummersmusic.com.
