Door County Art News: Free Admission to the Fairfield Continues

The Fairfield Art Center in historic downtown Sturgeon Bay has announced that Great Lakes Yacht Services (GLYS) will be its signature Free Admissions Sponsor for 2009. Thanks to a generous donation from this highly regarded Sturgeon Bay business, the art center’s Free Admissions Program will continue to guarantee free admission to the galleries.

The Free Admissions Program was created in 2007 when the Fairfield opted to eliminate its admissions fees to ensure access to its galleries for all. To support the fledgling program, Edgewood Orchard Galleries signed on as its first-ever sponsor for 2008; Edgewood’s name adorned the landing outside the Main Gallery doors throughout the 12-month period. Today, that same space bears the name of GLYS in honor of its generosity and commitment to the arts in our community.

The Fairfield Art Center is open free to the public from 10 am – 5 pm, Tuesday through Friday; and 10 am – 4 pm, Saturday. It is closed on Sundays, Mondays and all major holidays.
