Door County Band Students Showcase Talent

Conductor Dr. Phillip Ostrander

Accomplished band students from area high schools have been selected to participate in the Bay Area Music Association (BAMA) Honors Band on Jan. 5. Conductor Dr. Phillip Ostrander, Associate Professor at UW – Eau Claire, will work with the students that day, culminating in a brief concert at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek at 4 pm, which is free and open to the public.

Participating Gibraltar High School students include Kimberly Craig, Marshall Davis, Make Keene, Emma Nickels and Samantha Phillips. Participating Sevastopol High School students include Dominique Bowers, Miranda Brandt, Rustom Engineer and Sean McDowell.

Sturgeon Bay High School students participating include Taylor Becker, Robert Desotelle, Abbey Doucette, Erik Elliott, Margaret Hintz, Sam Kaczmarwski, Kerrianne Konrad, Sean Moynihan, Abbey Pomeroy, Andie Renfrew, Arianna Robinson, Joe Schriner-Schmitt, Andrew Spittlemeister, Allison Wierer and Justin Zager.

Participating Southern Door High School students include Jacob Harper, Mitchell Kaniasty, Josie Kielar, Jordan Lenius, Janae Mancheski, Kaira Rouer and Calvin Salmon.
