Door County Cooperative Country Store Holds ‘The Pet Event’ Oct. 21

Calling all pet parents, pet families and pet enthusiasts to The Pet Event presented by the Door County Cooperative Country Store on Oct. 21, 10 am to 2 pm. Rusty Acres Petting Zoo will bring some of their favorite friendly mini barnyard friends. Plus, there will be pet seminars from Ron Maloney of Peninsula Dog Training and pet psychic Gale Ritchey. If looking to add to your family, the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) will be at The Pet Event holding cat/kitten adoptions.

“We are excited to be a part of this fun event by featuring our adoptable cats and kittens and hopefully finding several of them new homes,” said DCHS Volunteer and Adoption Coordinator Jessica Auz. “If you’ve been considering adding a new furry family member, now is the perfect time. All adoptable DCHS cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.”

Adopters hoping to bring a new cat or kitten home that day should come to the event with a valid photo ID and proof of address, a copy of their rental pet policy or permission from their landlord (if renting), and a vet reference (if other pets reside at home).

Bring the entire family, as well as friendly dogs on leashes, to The Pet Event at the Door County Cooperative Country Store on Oct. 21.
