Here are two homeless animals that came into the Humane Society recently from Nasewaupee. Both are now up to date with vaccinations, have had anti-parasitic treatments and will continue to receive care until they find a new home.
As a Pit Bull/Terrier mix, Zeus may have to battle some perception issues, but he is as sweet as can be and just wants to be a “people pleaser.” Zeus has been temperament tested; he loves the leash walks with volunteers. He is 34 pounds, 1 – 2 years old, and will be neutered in the near future.
Gomez is a gray and white shorthair cat who arrived on a very cold day in March. As soon as he warmed up and had a couple special meals, his witty personality began to emerge. A bit goofy and good with the public, Gomez would be great either as a family pet or companion to one loving person. He weighs 8 pounds and is neutered.
Adoption costs are $85 for cats and kittens, $120 for dogs, and $60 for puppies. The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 Park Drive (County PD) in Sturgeon Bay, is open for adoption Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from noon – 4 pm.
