Door County Lighthouse Festival Tickets Now Available

The 20th annual Door County Lighthouse Festival, scheduled for June 7 – 9, promises a weekend filled with special land-based tours and exciting boat excursions.

Three of the land tours incorporate the five mainland accessible lights with evening Ghost/Mystery tours leaving from the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. A new tour has been added featuring the Segways from Glide N.E.W. This excursion will leave from the Baileys Harbor Fire Station and will incorporate the Ridges Range Lights and views of the “bird cage” light and Cana Island.

A training session will be offered before each tour.

As for the boat trips, the day-long Island Clipper tour on Saturday will take visitors past a couple of Michigan lights before stopping at Rock Island. Also, the popular excursion from Gills Rock to Plum Island returns with just four tours and limited seating on the Shoreline Charter.

The excursion to Chambers Island is another once-a-year opportunity; Glide N.E.W. will provide a separate tour for a limited number of people to ride Segways from the dock to the lighthouse.

Other events include tours leaving from Gills Rock, a shipwreck trip to Cana Island from Baileys Harbor, boat trips aboard Sail Door County’s Edith M. Becker, the annual Keeper’s Kin event, and a silent auction.
