Tickets Available for Door County Lighthouse Festival

Tickets for the 18th Annual Door County Lighthouse Festival tours and cruises will go on sale Monday, April 4. Members of the Door County Maritime Museum may reserve tickets prior to April 4. The festival will take place Friday – Sunday, June 10 – 12.

The annual Friday evening Keeper’s Kin event has expanded, now featuring a 6 pm dinner cruise followed by the traditional dessert buffet cruise at 8 pm. Again, relatives of Door County lighthouse keepers will be on board the Harbor Lady to share stories during the cruise off Sherwood Point Lighthouse.

Through the cooperation of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Serve and the Friends of Plum & Pilot Islands, the Plum Island cruise and tour will return this year. Those interested in talking one of the Saturday or Sunday trips are advised that a lengthy hike will be required to reach the lighthouse.

Other boat trips include the six-hour Island Clipper tour which will take visitors past Michigan lighthouses before stopping at Rock Island. Tours will also leave from Gills Rock, Baileys Harbor, and Sturgeon Bay.

There will be five land-based tours, including a ‘Ghost/Mystery’ tour leaving from the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay on Friday and Saturday evenings, offering an opportunity to experience Sherwood Point Lighthouse after dark.
