Door County Master Gardeners Presents Potato Preservation Presentation

The Door County Master Gardeners Association will host their third Continuing Education Program of 2012 on Feb. 7 at 7 pm at the Crossroads of Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. Max Martin, Research Program Manager at the US Potato Genebank, will present the program, “Potato Preservation at the US Potato Genebank.” Martin will discuss potatoes and the work of the US Potato Genebank which serves as a source to introduce, classify, preserve, evaluate and distribute samples of potato genetic material to US and foreign researchers at universities, private companies, and as individuals who use potato plant material in research.
