Door County Medical Center Earns Rural Community Partner of the Year Award

At the annual Rural Schools Conference on Oct. 28, the nonprofit Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance (WiRSA) honored six individuals and Door County Medical Center for their dedication to addressing the challenges that rural school districts face. WiRSA was established to help rural school districts address the issues that affect them as they work to provide the highest-quality education for every student. WiRSA members submit nominations for the annual awards in seven categories. Along with recipients honored as teacher, administrator, principal, school-board member, support-staff member and advocate of the year, Door County Medical Center earned the award for Rural Community Partner of the Year.
