Door County Representation at Neville Museum

A landscape painting by artist Lynn Gilchrist of Sturgeon Bay was selected for the upcoming Neville Public Museum’s 71st Art Annual juried exhibition. Gilchrist’s 24” x 36” acrylic, “Looking to the Quarry,” depicts late spring in the woods of Potawatomi State Park.

Gilchrist’s painting was chosen from 132 submissions from artists working in the 24 counties of northeastern Wisconsin and the 14 counties of Upper Michigan. Inclusion of the visual arts has long been an important mission of the museum. The included artwork was chosen by guest juror David Wells, Gallery Director of the Edgewood College Art Gallery, Madison.

The 71st Art Annual will run from May 14 to July 3. The Neville Public Museum of Brown County is located at 210 Museum Place, Green Bay. Museum hours during the exhibition are 9 am – 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 12 – 5 pm Sunday. For more information call 920.448.4460.
