Door County’s Crossroads Hosts Various Programs

Crossroads at Big Creek will continue offering programming and educational opportunities throughout August.

August 14 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, “Belgian Day at the Village” will take place at the Historical Village. Barb Chisholm will highlight the history of the Belgians in Door County with her engaging talent of storytelling. In addition there will be authentic Belgian pies cooked in the Warren House Kitchen for sale.

August 15 at 1:30 pm, the Crossroads will host a free family program, “Christmas at The Warren House.” Participants will cut and decorate a tree, prepare treats and sing carols.

August 16 at 1:30 pm, the Greene General Store will host a family program, “Pioneer Tools.” Attendees will learn about the tools that pioneer men and women used to do their work in the 1800s.

August 17 at 1:30 pm, the Vignes School will host “Schools Days in 1900.” Attendees will join Joan Wilkie and attend classes in reading, writing and arithmetic.
