Door Peninsula Winery Wins Gold at Finger Lakes International Wine Competition

Door Peninsula Winery has won three new medals for their wines, including a gold metal for Blackberry Wine. The 2016 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition awarded Door Peninsula Winery’s Blackberry Wine with a gold medal, and Cranberry Wine and Sunset Splash (a white, tropical blend) each with silver medals.

The 16th annual Finger Lakes International Wine Competition was held in late March in Rochester, New York. The competition is open to all commercial wineries from all wine-producing countries. More than 3,708 wines were entered from 940 wineries. The competition judges awarded 108 double gold, 200 gold, and 1,423 silver medals this year.
