Door Shakespeare Announces 2013 Summer Season

Door Shakespeare announces the play selections for the 2013 summer season. For the first time in the company’s history, Door Shakespeare will present William Shakespeare’s Macbeth and Love’s Labours Lost at Bjِrklunden.

Amy J. Ludwigsen, managing director of Door Shakespeare, said, “Macbeth and Love’s Labours Lost are contrasting works filled with romance, violence, villains, fools, heroines, sword fights, and poetry…there really is something for everyone. This robust season will both delight and challenge our audience with plays that are brilliant and brutal. We are working now to assemble a creative team of directors, designers, and artistic associates to make the 2013 season as fresh and innovative as possible. We are also looking at ways to make Door Shakespeare a desirable destination for our patrons. We are actively planning physical improvements to the performance space and more programming to enrich the experience of attending the productions including pre-show discussions with scholars, directors, designers, and members of the cast.”
