Drive-In Prayer Vigil at DCMC Jan. 21

Over the last two years, the community and medical center have struggled with the effects of COVID-19. The Door County Medical Center (DCMC) staff remains steadfast in our service to this community, but we find we are at a critical point in this long struggle. The DCMC is looking to you to join in a show of support and in prayer.

A short prayer service will be held on Jan. 21, 6:15 pm. Those interested will gather in our cars and encircle the hospital campus and pray together for those who are ill and those caring for them. It will be simulcast on the radio at 107.7 FM.

The service will be led by Sarah Gavin, Coordinator of Youth Ministry for grades 6-12 (Catholic Churches of Sturgeon Bay) and Pastor James Gomez (Prince of Peace Lutheran Church). Please enter at the hospital’s main entrance off of S. 18th Avenue and park facing the building. Overflow parking will be available in the employee parking lot off of 16th Street.

All attendees are asked to remain in their cars, with flashers on throughout the service. If you wish to decorate your car with messages of support for the staff and patients, feel free to do so.

For those who cannot attend in person, you can join virtually on Let’s Go Door County’s Facebook page.
