Early registrations for the fourth annual Door County Show Choir Camp are now open. Sturgeon Bay High School will host the weeklong camp, which runs July 18 – 22. The camp is open to students in sixth through twelfth grades as well as 2016 graduates.

Students will be placed into a choir based on their grade level. Classes will be held from 8:30 am – 4:15 pm, Monday through Thursday. Friday’s schedule will start at 8:30 am and go through the Grand Finale concert.

Students will be offered classes in choreography, choral music, and drama, and they’ll also have several options for interest sessions ranging from lyrical dance to audio-visual technology. Teachers for this camp include Justin Ranek, Sturgeon Bay High School Choir Director; Leslie Hill, Sturgeon Bay Middle School Choir Director; Stephanie Hutcheson, a professional choreographer from Omaha, Nebraska; and Bill Bauernfeind, Sturgeon Bay High School’s Theater Coach.

This camp is available to all students in Door and Kewaunee counties. The cost is $100 per student, and includes cost of all necessary music, a camp T-shirt for the final performance, all lunches, Friday’s dinner, and two tickets for Friday night’s concert. Early registration is open now through May 1. Late registration runs May 2 – July 1.

The Grand Finale Concert is July 22 at 7 pm in the Sturgeon Bay High School Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door for $5, or $3 for students. For more information, contact Justin Ranek at 920.746.5753 or [email protected].
