Edgewood Hosts ‘Exhibit IV’ Reception and Painting Demo

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a Labor Day weekend reception for Exhibit IV on Aug. 31, 4-7 pm. Featured artists include painters Susan Hale, Tom Nachreiner and George Shipperley, and jeweler Olga Ganoudis. Artist introductions and short talks will take place in the courtyard at 5 pm with wine and hors d’oeuvres served. 

Nachreiner will also demonstrate his oil-painting techniques in the gallery courtyard Sept. 1, 1-3 pm. He works mostly in plein air and is influenced by American, French and Russian impressionists. His oil paintings are full of energy, capturing mood and light with dynamic design. 

Hale’s paintings are a reflection of her personality: cheerful and bright, with vibrant color and a sense of optimism. Shipperley’s oil pastels come from his imagination, whether for a compositional landscape or a still life.
