Reception and Pastel Demo at Edgewood

“Summer House” by Kristine Martineau Gellerman.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a reception for Exhibit III on July 21 from 4 – 7 pm. Exhibit III features painters Craig Blietz, Kristine Martineau Gellerman and Tal Walton; jeweler Marcia McDonough; steel furniture maker Jim Rose; and glass artists Joseph and Georgia Pozycinski. All these artists will attend the opening reception, and will briefly speak about their work at 5 pm. On July 22, Gellerman will demonstrate her pastel techniques from 1 – 3 pm in the courtyard.

Blietz is an Edgewood Orchard favorite; his work is a reflection of his rural environment.

Walton’s custom framing and painting style features the use of paint and gold leaf covered by multiple clear layers to give depth and an aged look.

Gellerman will introduce a nine-piece show of pastel paintings that took over a year to create. Gellerman has the impressive ability to accurately capture objects and light via pastels.

Two-door Cupboard by Jim Rose.

Inspired by the birth of her two sons, McDonough created her own jewelry collection, Mack & Bancker.

The cast glass and bronze pieces from the Pozycinskis combine boldly colored cast glass elements with supporting bronze components.

Rose is an award-winning steel furniture maker from Forestville. Rose hand builds furnishings inspired by early American furniture and historic quilts.

Exhibit III will be displayed through August 21. Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, midway between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.868.3579 or visit http://www.edgewoodorchard.com.
