Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a jewelry trunk show for nationally known jeweler Michael Michaud from July 1 – 4. Michaud will showcase his jewelry and home accessory pieces. Champagne punch and other refreshments will be served throughout the weekend.
Michaud currently resides in Fairfield, Connecticut with his wife and children. His jewelry and home accent pieces combine his exceptional knowledge of jewelry making and his love of nature. Starting as an apprentice mold cutter in 1973, he soon became a master precious metal caster and mold maker.
He began experimenting with techniques that eventually launched his jewelry collection in 1992. He has perfected the technique of creating models from natural elements. After models are made, he manipulates these “copies of nature” into beautiful jewelry. Using bronze, sterling silver or gold and natural stones and pearls, his designs have become well known for their remarkable craftsmanship and beauty.
In 2010 Michaud started collaborating with well-known actress and artist Jane Seymour. Michaud and Seymour combined their talents to create Jane’s Garden, Jane Seymour’s Table Art by Michael Michaud. The collection, consisting of napkin rings, serving utensils and more captures the beauty of nature in metal.
Edgewood Orchard Galleries, open 10 am – 5 pm daily, is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, 1 block east of Highway 42 between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.868.3579, email [email protected], or visit http://www.edgewoodorchard.com.
