Edgewood Orchard Gallery of Door County Hosts Exhibit III Opening Reception

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a reception for the opening of “Exhibit III” on July 16 from 4 – 7 pm. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the public is welcome. Running through August 16, the exhibit will feature the artwork of painters Gretchen Klug, Shelby Keefe and Michele Dangelo, glass artist Lyla Nelson, bronze sculptor C.T. Whitehouse, jeweler Marcia McDonough and steel furniture maker Jim Rose. All featured artists will be present at the opening reception and speak about their work at 5 pm.

On July 17 Shelby Keefe will demonstrate painting from 1 – 3 pm.

Klug of Ellison Bay will have a new selection of her distinctive and stunning palette knife paintings on display while Milwaukee painter Keefe will be show contemporary impressionistic paintings. A collection of newly completed oil paintings by Boston, Massachusetts artist Dangelo will also be on display.

Emerging glass artist Nelson graduated from the Appalachian Center for Craft just last month, but has already won an industry-respected Niche award for her blown and then sand-carved glass work which will be on display.

Bronze sculptor C.T. Whitehouse will have his work shown both indoors and out during the exhibit, as he has created several fountains and other sculptural pieces.

California jeweler McDonough will show her Mack & Bancker jewelry collection, inspired by the birth of her two sons.

Award-winning steel furniture maker Rose will display his creations, featuring a combination of found rusted and painted steel.
