Exhibiting Emerging and Established Artists

The Hardy Gallery continues tradition with the opening of its 52nd Annual Juried Exhibit, an exhibition showcasing a broad range of work by local and regional visual artists. In celebration, the exhibit opens with a free public reception from 5:30 to 7 pm on June 6.

On view June 7 through July 13 at the dockside gallery, the exhibit includes work by more than 70 artists. The exhibit provides support and visibility for both emerging and established artists in Door County and surrounding region.

The June 6th reception will feature more than 70 original pieces, the presentation of awards at 6 pm and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. This year’s awards, created by Jim Du Frane of G&J Glassworks, Sturgeon Bay, will be presented to selected artists at the event and include the People’s Choice Award, Francis Howe Hardy Watercolor Excellence Award and three Juror’s Awards.

“We hope the public will join us for this unique opportunity to meet the exhibiting artists and celebrate the tremendous talents of our local and regional artists,” said Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, the Hardy’s executive director.

The gallery will be closed for exhibit installation May 30 – June 6.

The Hardy Gallery is open daily 10 am – 5 pm; Sunday 12 – 5 pm; and Monday until 8 pm. The gallery is located in the heart of Ephraim’s historic district on Anderson Dock (3083 Anderson Lane). Admission to the gallery is free. For more information, call 920.854.2210 or visit thehardy.org.
