Explore Big Creek for Fish this Weekend

On sunny days the breeding songs of birds can be heard in each of Crossroads at Big Creek’s three preserves. Clearly, in spite of erratic weather, the breeding season is near.

On April 14 at 1 pm, Crossroads at Big Creek offers a hike to Big Creek to see if the suckers will make the run up the creek. This hike will follow the creek to see if the fish are present. The hike will last about an hour and hikers should meet at the Collins Learning Center. The hike is free and open to the public.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a preserve that offers education, conducts research and provides outdoor experiences to inspire environmental stewardship in learners of all ages. The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan St., is open 2-4 pm daily and during scheduled activities.
