Explore The History And Flavors Of Apples

The Door County Historical Society will host Apple Fest, Sept. 23, 10 am – 3 pm. This family-friendly event is a day of apple-themed festivities, treats, historical insights and entertainment.

There will be apple pies to caramel apple creations and apple-tasting stations to taste different apple varieties. Learn about the apple through time and discover the stories of orchardists, farmers and apple enthusiasts who have contributed to the thriving apple legacy of Door County.

From apple-toss challenges to artistic apple crafts, there’s something for everyone in the family. Try your hand at apple peeling and operating an antique apple-cider press.

Enjoy live music and food trucks. Open to the public, admission $5 (17 and under are free). The event is being held at Heritage Village at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay.
