Fair Trade for Talent Competition Enters Second Week

Tuesday, July 7 sees the second in a series of seven Fair Trade for Talent Nights at the Door County Outpost.

Attracting over 450 applications from around the country, the Outpost is staging a talent show and entertainment extravaganza with a difference. With a central theme of “giving back to the music community,” Fair Trade for Talent provides a stage for upcoming talented musicians to show their potential in front of a live audience and panel of celebrity judges.

Heading the judging panel for the entire series of events is talented New York musician Dorothy Scott, who will be joined on July 7 by Susan O’Conner, proprietor of the Flying Pig Gallery, and talented celebrity musician Dan Riley.

Three bands/musicians take the stage for six consecutive Tuesdays, with the Grande Finale on held Saturday, August 15. Contestants Jana Holland, Bill & Kate Isles and Mike Black will take the stage on July 7, competing for a spot in the finale.

Rewards for success at this competition include a cash prize fund and additional awards including a lucrative contract for headlining a top Door County venue in 2010.

Fair Trade for Talent shows begin at 7 pm, and admission is $7.
