Fatal Vehicle Crash in Clay Banks

On Nov. 9 at 9:24 pm the Door County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one-vehicle crash on County U, about 100 feet south of Midway Road in the town of Clay Banks. The vehicle, a 2007 Cadillac, was southbound on County U and failed to negotiate a curve when it entered the southbound ditch and rolled over, striking a cement culvert and trees. The driver and lone occupant was Kristofor M. Stichman, 38, of Leopolis, Wis. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Toxicology reports will not be available for several weeks. Speed was a factor in the crash.
