Lawrence University’s Björklunden will host a concert on May 7 at 1:30 pm. Fiddlers of LU is a student-run, folk music group open to musicians both in and out of the conservatory, of any skill or experience level. Through weekly meetings, they teach each other fiddle tunes aurally and arrange parts through experimentation with background chords, creating harmonies, chopping, and improvisation. Fiddlers of LU will play an eclectic mix of fiddle tunes from traditions ranging from Bluegrass, Americana, Swedish, Celtic and more. This concert is free and sponsored by the Boynton Society. It will be held in Björklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Björklunden is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.
