Fish Creek Living History Event This Weekend

The Gibraltar Historical Association is planning a 1800s Living History Weekend for this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 31 and August 1 and 2 throughout Fish Creek. The event schedule is as follows:

Friday, July 31:

• 10 am:  Living History Stroll with Ron Dammon – tour begins at the Gibraltar Town Hall across from Fish Creek’s Clark Park.

• noon – 4:30 pm:  Tour the Historic Noble House on Main Street

• Dusk:  View the beautiful sunset at Sunset Park

 Saturday, August 1:

Civil War Camp at the Fish Creek Park (across from the Fish Creek Peninsula State Park entrance)

• 9 am:  Civil war camp open to the public

• 10 am:  Military Drills

• 11 am:  Children’s Games Demonstration

• noon:  Military Firing Demonstration

• 1 pm:  Women & children’s clothing show

• 2 pm:  Civil war medicine demonstration with Terry Stults

• 3:30 pm: Military drills & firing demonstrations

• 5 pm: Camp closes for the day

 Sunday, August 2

Civil War Camp at the Fish Creek Park

• 10 am: Camp open to the public

• 11 am: Military Drills

• Noon:  Clothing & games demonstration

• 1 pm:  Civil War medicine demonstration with Terry Stults

• 2 pm:  Military drills & firing demonstration

• 3 pm:  Military drills & firing demonstration

• 4 pm:  Camps close to the public

• 8:15 pm:  Candlelight tours of Historic Noble House on Main Street
