Four Women – Four New Directions: Fish Creek Artists Open Studio Doors

On July July 22 and 23 from 1 – 7 pm, the public is invited to preview and enjoy new work, refreshments, and demonstrations at the studios of four Fish Creek women artists, including Patty Degenhardt, Judie Ekholm, Kathy Glasnap and Gloria Hardiman.

An opportunity to register for a drawing for an art piece will be available at each gallery.

Patty Degenhardt is an accomplished sculptor, painter, ceramist, and occasional woodworker. Her subject is a contemporary exploration of nature, figure and form. The focus of her new work is on the illusive nature of the birch tree.

Judi Ekholm is an oil painter who continues to reinvent her paintings in subject matter and composition. Her work can be found in over 700 international collections. This year’s paintings are focused on impressionistic pathways, water scenes, and perennial gardens.

Kathy Glasnap is celebrating 42 years of painting. For many years she frequented art shows, but now her wonderful gallery and studio in Fish Creek has allowed her the luxury of living and working in Door County. This year Kathy is featuring a new selection of miniatures, Door County scenes, and acrylics.

Gloria Hardiman creates functional hand-woven items in natural fibers. She produces throws, stoles, jackets, scarves and hats in a variety of colors, designs, and textures. Her featured new item this year is a series of patchwork pillows.
