Fourth Annual Mariner Awards Dinner Set for July 28

The public is invited to join the Door County Maritime Museum and Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club in honoring the Fourth Annual Mariner Award nominees, including Coast Guard Person of the Year.

The award recognizes nominees who have contributed significantly and positively to any segment of the local maritime community. A living and posthumous awards are presented. The recipients of the 2013 awards are Joe Fisher and George “Butch” Bauduin (posthumous). Other nominees included: Steve Brunstrom, Tim Graul, Bill Parsons and Dick Purinton. Posthumous nominees were Mike Kelsey Sr., Robert Noble, John Purves and Richard Stearn.

The presentation dinner will be held July 28 at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club at 6:30 pm. Social hour begins at 5:30 pm.

Dinner includes a salad, entrée selection (sliced pork loin, roast cod filet or chicken cordon bleu) and ice cream sundae for $37.50. A full cash bar is also available.
