Friends of Gibraltar Holiday Art Fair

On Nov. 26 and 27, the Friends of Gibraltar will host their Holiday Art Fair at the Sister Bay Village Hall. Open 10 am – 5 pm on Friday and 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday, the fair will feature a delicious lunch served from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm with proceeds benefiting the Friends of Gibraltar, who in turn provide Gibraltar School’s students with unique learning opportunities.

Door County artists will gather together to showcase their talents, including jewelers Mary Beth Mead, Jennifer Dahl, Charlene and Allen Rowe, and Shelly VanderLinden as well as potters Jeanne and David Aurelius, and Renee’ Schwaller.

Ken and Pat Klitzman will display their wood-carved Santas, pen and ink drawings, and sand art. Candles and handmade body products by Jennifer Norman, wood crafted holiday decorations by Ed Schmidt, and dried floral wreaths and cherry products by Mary Pat Carlson will also be on display along with Gibraltar t-shirts and cards.

The fair will also feature handmade paper boxes and journals by Nancy Akerly, watercolors and note cards by Kari Anderson, and fused-glass jewelry, nightlights, and buttons by Kathy Stanaszek. Handmade soap by Bob and Bonnie Abrahamson will be on display, along with leather purses by Mary Ellen Sisulak, vintage style aprons by Jane Penvich, Christmas items by Phyllis Fitzgerald, and hats and sweaters by Paddy Elliott and Glenna Stephenson.

Nora Ahlen, displaying knit hats and scarves, will demonstrate wool spinning and Mary Faber will showcase her decorative furniture painting and felted scarves.
