Gallery of Door County Art League Features Potter Patsy Stierna

The Gallery of the Door County Art League features one of their participating artists each week of the season. The week beginning Sunday, June 27, work by porcelain artist Patsy Stierna will be on display at the league’s gallery located in the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek. An opening reception will take place Saturday, June 26 from 3 – 5 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Stierna specializes in creating both wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces with porcelain and white clay, using the Sgraffito method to reflect nature in her work. She will demonstrate carving porcelain nature tiles at the gallery on Thursday, July 1.

Stierna will also demonstrate carving porcelain on Saturday, July 17 at Garden Door, where she is enrolled in the Door County Master Gardeners program. In addition, she is the vice president of the Friends of the Crossroads, a volunteer group for Crossroads at the Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay, where her work is on display.
