Gathering Ground Hosts June 18 Farm Bike Tour

Gathering Ground is offering its annual biking tour of Washington Island farms June 18, 10 am – 12 pm.

“We are pleased to offer this bike ride that highlights the wonderful produce of our island farms,” said Susan Buchanan, co-chair of this year’s event. “The tour is a great way to spend a spring morning, meet island farmers and learn more about the experience of farming on the island.”

Bikers can check in at Gathering Ground on Airport Road on Washington Island. Then they’ll visit Birchwood Farm, Hoot Blossom Farm, Island Orchard Cider and several other island farms before the tour ends with a special lunch at Fiddler’s Green.

Purchase tickets ($40 each) at gatheringgroundwi.org. The tour is limited to 35 riders, and registration is required by June 15.
