Gathering Ground Offers Gardening And Ag Workshops

Gathering Ground, a 38-acre teaching and working farm with a vineyard, orchard and community garden and compost program located on Washington Island, announced its slate of spring and summer classes. Each class will include instruction and supplies to take home and implement the learning in your own garden.

They include a seed-starting workshop at 10:30 am Saturday, March 2 at Hoot Blossom Farm. After that, workshops at Gathering Ground include an irrigation workshop at 9:30 am, May 30; Weed Management and three-sisters Gardening Workshop at 9:30 am, June 6; Gardening with Native Plants at 9:30 am, June 13; a compost workshop at 9:30 am, June 20; and an all-season lettuce workshop at 9:30 am, June 27.
