Gibraltar’s Superintendent Search on Track

The Gibraltar School District is close to announcing a new superintendent to replace Dr. Stephen Seyfer, who is retiring at the end of this school year after 15 years in the district.

School Board President Sally Pfeifer says that the April 14 interviews for the position went well, and the board expects to announce and approve the contract for the new superintendent at its April 30 meeting.

The new superintendent will also act as the elementary principal, just as Seyfer does, but the other responsibilities of the position have not yet been set.

“We’ll have to look at the strengths and weaknesses of our choice and discuss it from there,” says Pfeifer.

The April 30 meeting takes place at 5 pm in room 266.
