Sevastopol Concludes Superintendent Search

The Sevastopol School Board has hired Linda Underwood Schweigert as the district’s new superintendent. Schweigert has been the superintendent of a district in Richmond, Va. for the past seven years. She’ll be finishing her contract there before arriving in Door County. She has also previously worked as a principal and assistant principal.

Current Sevastopol superintendent Steve Cromell is happy with the board’s choice.

“I’ve been working with her long-distance, and it appears she’s an excellent candidate,” he says. “She’s very excited to be coming to the district.”

Cromell anticipates that Schweigert will arrive in the district sometime towards the end of June.
