Girls Basketball: Eagles Soar Past Vikings

Southern Door’s girls basketball team led 29-19 at halftime en route to a 56-48 Packerland Conference victory at Gibraltar.

Payton Gilbertson led three Eagles in double figures with 15 points. Sophia Counard added 14 points, with Ashlyn Delfosse scoring 10 more.

Mikala Gorham and Andie Schar led the Vikings with 15 points apiece. McKailey Reisen added 13 points.

Southern Door, which improved to 6-7 in the conference and 8-13 overall, hosts its next league game Friday against Kewaunee.

Gibraltar (4-10, 7-13) plays its next league game Friday at Sturgeon Bay.
