Girls Basketball: Vikings Devoured by Wolves

After falling behind by nine points at halftime Monday, Gibraltar’s girls basketball team ended up losing at home in Packerland Conference action against Algoma 55-33.

Andie Schar led the Vikings with 11 points. Mikala Gorham added nine points.

The Wolves were led by Ryley Zimmerman with 18 points, which included four threes. Therese Gerdman added 12 points.

Gibraltar, which closed out Packerland play at 5-11 and is 9-14 overall, hosts a non-conference game Thursday against Stockbridge in the regular-season finale.

Algoma (10-5, 13-10) closes out the regular season at home Thursday against conference co-leader Kewaunee.
