Go Bo! Holiday Cookie Drive-Through Nov. 28 in Sister Bay

Cookie lovers can donate $15 to receive two hand-crafted “paint your own” cookies – an activity and treat in one! – during the Go Bo! Holiday Cookie Drive-Through on Nov. 28, 12-2 pm, at the Sister Bay downtown visitor center.

Drivers and passengers should remain in their vehicle, and volunteers will be masked. Cash and credit cards will be accepted. The cookies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with no advance orders or mail orders.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the GO BO Foundation, which was formed in memory of Bo Johnson, a local boy who, at age 12, was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia.

“The illness that took his life could not stifle his spirit, his courage or his kindheartedness,” reads the foundation’s website. “Bo had a mission, and his message was simple: ‘Love each other, help each other, have your neighbor’s back. If you see someone in need, even a stranger, reach out and help. The world can be a better place if we care and help each other.’”

The GO BO Foundation offers hope to children with life-threatening medical conditions by funding research, supporting treatment and helping their families during times of financial need. Learn more, including how to donate, at gobofoundation.com.
