Guest Artist Weekend at Martinez Studio Features Michael Doerr

In an insightful pairing of contemporary furniture and flatweave textiles, Michael Doerr Fine Handmade Furniture will be featured during a guest artist weekend, Aug. 15 – 19, at Martinez Studio with a public reception on Aug. 17, 3 – 7 pm.

Doerr Woodworking’s collaboration with Martinez Studio is a rare visual treat and a wonderful match between contemporary furniture and flatweave, a perfect blend of interior collaboration. Though Michael and his wife Bobbi have admired the Martinezes’work for years, it was a lucky coincidence that brought them together for their first joint venture in New York City for the Architectural Digest Show. Vibrant colors and designs in close proximity with warm rich wood tones, all combine to create beauty, functionality and comfort.

Doerr will exhibit his unique designs at Martinez Studio, including his signature chair series and a collection of contemporary tables. Let imaginations roam finding the hidden images in the natural graining of his book-matched cabinets.
