Guide Points the Way

Nate Hatch created a steel sculpture titled “Guide” for Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek. The piece sits at the entrance to the parking lot of the school and was designed specifically for the site. It is both organic and industrial in form, and is reminiscent of a compass or sundial, guiding and leading you up the path to Peninsula School of Art, or maybe on a path of personal growth and creativity.

It was funded in part by contributions to the Peninsula School of Art and in part by the artist. “It was our goal to create a true focal point at the entrance to Pen Art and also to work with a local artist or sculpture to make that vision a reality,” said Executive Director Cathy Hoke. “Nate’s work is outstanding and we are privileged to have someone of his caliber living and working in Door County.”
