Habitat for Humanity Partners with School Programs for H.A.L.O.

Door County Habitat for Humanity is partnering with five Door County School Systems’ Project 180 Programs for the H.A.L.O. (Homeless Awareness Lock-out) Fundraising Event.

On May 11, food booths, games, and a silent auction will be set up during the day. Starting at 6 pm, Ben There, Dan That will perform and picnic dinners will be available from Habitat’s food booths.

In the evening, students and community members will pledge to camp outside overnight in cardboard boxes showing support for homeless awareness and attainable housing. There will be food, activities, games and music from DJ Bubba G.

This event is open to the public.

Registration fees are $30/adult, $15/student and pledges of at least $50. High school students register via their school, so registration fees for them differ.

These funds stay in Door County to help families with new home builds and critical home repairs.
