Help Whitefish Dunes Eliminate Invasive Plants

The public is welcome to join the Friends of Whitefish Dunes to eliminate Dame’s Rocket, Garlic Mustard, and Hounds Tongue to preserve rare plants.

Wildlife Technician, Mike Locatelli, will lead participants every Friday in May. Pre-registration is not required but appreciated. Event dates are May 14 at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm; May 21 at 1:30 pm and May 28 at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. Participants are asked to meet at the Nature Center, plan for one to two hours of work and dress for the weather (long pants are preferable). Water, gloves, and snacks will be provided and volunteers will receive a complimentary vehicle sticker for the day.
