Hike to Big Creek on April 12

Friends of Crossroads at Big Creek invite the community to join them at the Council Ring to enjoy a campfire between 6:30 and 8:30 pm on April 10. Participants can roast marshmallows or make pudgy pies. Friends of Crossroads will hold their monthly meeting on April 14 at 6 pm. Anyone wishing to get involved in volunteer efforts at Crossroads is encouraged to attend. To reach the Council Ring from the parking lot, take the trail to the Astronomy Campus (which starts near the Maintenance Building). The Council Ring is just beyond the long bridge.

On April 12 at 1 pm, go on a one-hour hike to Big Creek, where there is a possibility of seeing Northern Pike. Hikers should meet at the Collins Learning Center. Wear footwear that can get muddy. The hike is free and open to the public.

The Collins Learning Center, located at 2041 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2 – 4:30 pm daily and during scheduled activities. Now that it’s spring, all trails are open to hiking and biking.
