Humane Society Receives Donation

The Door County Humane Society (DCHS) was recently given $20,000 by the late Dorothy Krasawski. Krasawski was a Door County lady who, when she wasn’t dancing, was walking her dogs at Peninsula State Park or around her 12th Avenue neighborhood. When she died last September, she made sure dogs and cats were remembered in her bequests.

DCHS Board President Marilyn Jensen received the check from the estate’s personal representatives in March. Jensen said, “All of us associated with the shelter are touched that Mrs. Krasawski recognized the work of the Door County Humane Society, and willed these funds to continue our work with companion animals who have no home.”
