Rachel Haas serves a tasty soup and sandwich at Drink Coffee.

Well, $8.90 to be exact.

Drink Coffee in Sister Bay, owned and operated by Rachel Haas, aka The Cookie Lady, not only serves amazing organic coffee, tea, espresso drinks, and homemade cookies, but great meals – for cheap.

For $4.60, customers may choose a half sandwich on seven-grain or sourdough bread. Sandwich options include the Smoked Turkey, Nueske’s Smoke Ham, Tuna Salad, Almost Famous Artichoke, Tuna Melt, Grilled Tomato & Cheese, and, my favorite, Hot Ham & Swiss. Forget deli cut ham; Nueske’s smoked ham is extra thick and extra tasty!

The sandwiches come with a pickle spear, and a side choice of chips, an apple, or cottage cheese.

For $7.25, the half sandwich includes a cup of homemade soup, favorites include asiago cheese bisque, roasted red pepper bisque, and white bean chicken chili.

Don’t forget to check out their salads and delicious bakery items – including scones, muffins, bars, and the famous cookies Drink Coffee is known for. Popular cookie favorites include the Cherry Queen, featuring Door County cherries, and the Monster Cookie.

Oh, and a delicious cup of coffee costs a mere $1.65.
