Idea Gallery Hosts Palette-Knife Workshop

Idea Gallery will host – and nationally renowned palette-knife oil painter Jeff Boutin will teach – a workshop Sept. 12, 11:30 am – 4 pm. 

Boutin uses a variety of palette knives to create bold, richly colored birch-tree landscapes that are reminiscent of Vincent Van Gogh.

“Every artist should endeavor to create their own sense of style,” Boutin said. “Impression-expression defines mine: lots of color, heavy texture, pushing the boundaries of abstraction.”

No experience is necessary to enjoy the workshop, and the class size will be kept small to facilitate individualized instruction. The fee of $175 includes lunch, beverages and all workshop materials. To register in advance (required), call Idea Gallery, 6551 Cty T in Egg Harbor, at 920.655.1340.
