Insect Scavenger Hunt

The summer family programs at Crossroads at Big Creek ends Aug. 23, although there are a few programs left to attend. During “Insect Evidence Scavenger Hunt” on Aug. 21 at 10 am, participants will look for galls, leaf minors, spittle and other insect evidence. Bring along a camera to document your finds.

Enjoy the “Early Fall Flowers” at 10 am on Aug. 22. Join the naturalist in a hike to the meadow to learn about the early fall wildflowers. The last family program of the summer on Aug. 23 features “Birds and Bird Feeders.” At 10 am, learn how to attract birds to your property and enjoy the birds which visit the Bird and Butterfly Garden at Crossroads.

The Collins Learning Center is located at 2041 Michigan just east of the highway roundabout in Sturgeon Bay. Summer hours are 1-3 pm Tuesday through Saturday and during scheduled events. All programs are free and open to the public. For more information visit crossroadsatbigcreek.com
