It’s National Library Week

The Door County libraries are celebrating National Library Week, April 13 – 19, with upcoming events.

Culver’s and the local libraries are teaming up for the “‘Bee’ A Book Lover” program to celebrate reading, books and National Library Week. Kids, ages 4 to 11, are invited to draw a picture and win a certificate for a free single scoop of Culver’s Frozen Custard, one entry per child. The picture can be of a character, event, scene or anything that the child liked about a favorite book.

Once completed it can be exchanged at a Door County library for a free custard certificate. The child’s name will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a free Scoopie Kids’ Meal. Entry sheets are available at local libraries and should be turned in by April 30.

Also, there will be magazine giveaways at the Sturgeon Bay Library and the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Library on April 19. The giveaway begins at 9 am in Sturgeon and at 10 am in Sister Bay until 2 pm (or while supplies last). For more information call 920.854.2721.
