“January Sunshine” Recognized

William Schneider, whose work is on display at the Champeau Gallery in Sister Bay, has won another award. “January Sunshine” won the Bernard Carey Memorial Award for Oil Landscape at the Academic Artists Association 61st National Exhibition held at the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center in Springfield, Mass.

William commented, “I love to paint en plein air during the winter! The clear air and bright sunshine make braving the 10 degree weather worth while. This tree is in the protected wetland behind my house.”
