Jeanne Kuhns Painting Wins Award of Excellence

“Anticipation” by Jeanne Kuhns.

Jeanne Kuhns, of Lost Moth Gallery, recently had one of her paintings accepted into the Manhattan Arts International HERStory 2017 online show. The painting titled “Anticipation” won an Award of Excellence.

Kuhns wrote in her artist’s statement: “My watercolor painting ‘Anticipation’ was a moment in time, while my daughter waited nervously but with excitement to be picked up for her first prom. She sits in the light streaming through old farmhouse windows, her feet turned inward like a little girl, her face lovely and full of hope for a magical night, her hands tightly holding onto the chair for grounding. It was a moment of passage, I think, no turning back, I will never forget it.”
